Meet The Reverend TJ
The Reverend TJ
The "Tiki Bar Troubadour"
Introducing The Reverend TJ, a solo performer rooted in the Midwest with over 30 years of musical experience. As a third-generation entertainer, his passion for performance runs deep; his mother once graced the Grand Ole Opry stage in 1956 as part of Jack’s xylophone band.
The Reverend's musical journey began as a nightclub DJ, where he skillfully blended Jimmy Buffett tunes with popular hits like the "Humpty Dance" and Bobby Brown's classics. However, it was during a second visit to Key West in 2023 that he truly discovered his love for trop-rock music. Captivated by the vibrant energy of Duval Street, where talented singer-songwriters entertain audiences from around the globe, he and his wife fell in love with the island, dreaming of retiring there in just a few years.
His musical background is deeply rooted in the blues, which he has artfully blended with a trop-rock vibe for his upcoming release, "Flip-Flops and Other Fine Footwear," set to drop on November 20, 2025. Influenced by legends such as Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, and Zac Brown, The Reverend TJ’s performances showcase his talent as a storyteller and songwriter. His engaging live shows create a unique connection with audiences, ensuring that each performance is a memorable experience.
